HIGHLIGHT
Cape Town is where mountains meet the sea — Table Mountain rising directly over the city, and a food and wine culture built on the nearby Winelands.
Cape Town is where mountains meet the sea — Table Mountain rising directly over the city, the Cape Peninsula’s drive down to the Cape of Good Hope, and a food and wine culture built on the nearby Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. It’s a city built for slow days: cable car up, penguin colony at Boulders Beach, a harbor evening at the V&A Waterfront, and Robben Island’s history a short ferry ride away.
Cape Town’s summer, from November to March, brings warm, dry days and long evenings — ideal for the beaches, Table Mountain and the Winelands. Winter, from June to August, is cooler and wetter, but still rewarding for wine tasting, museums and whale watching along the coast.
